The Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s Human Resources Development (HRD) Department, through the Mandel Leadership Excellence Center, strives to find the best and the brightest individuals and develop them to their highest potential. HRD fulfills this role for both lay leadership and professional staff. The HRD team, comprised of five staff members, collaboratively works to accomplish the mission and goals of the department. As such, HRD staff is cross-trained to assist in areas outside of their specific portfolio.
The Director of Talent Management will primarily carry out the duties of professional development, employee relations and recruitment of executive staff.
The role of the Community Planning & Allocations (CP&A) Department is to identify the needs of the Cleveland Jewish community and to work with appropriate partners to meet those needs. The Planning & Allocations Associate assists in managing the work and regular meetings of the Allocations Committee, Community Planning Committee and/or Strategic Planning Committee; works with beneficiary agencies of the Federation’s annual allocations process and to collaborate on planning activity; and works closely with lay partners to develop planning processes, prepare for meetings and move initiatives forward. The ideal candidate for this position is passionate about serving the Jewish Community, detail-oriented while still be big-picture focused, intellectually curious, and resourceful. All planning and allocations activity is conducted within the context of a lay/professional planning model.
The Jewish Federation of Cleveland (JFC) and the Jewish Education Center of Cleveland (JECC) are committed to creating opportunities to broaden and deepen the engagement of interfaith couples and families in Jewish life by providing access to a continuum of high-quality, low-barrier educational/engagement services. The JFC and JECC are seeking candidates for a full-time Director of Engagement position. The Director will be responsible for creating, stimulating and providing programmatic opportunities and other services to act as access points for all life stages of interfaith couples and families. S/he will create a culture that welcomes all families by lowering barriers for participation in the community, ensuring consistent and comprehensive education and training for Jewish professionals and lay leaders who interface with young interfaith couples/families, and increasing education and awareness through effective marketing, increased promotion, and online services so that people in interfaith relationships understand that Cleveland’s Jewish community welcomes and values interfaith families’ interest and participation.
