Campaign for Jewish Needs
David F. Adler
My inspiration is our Jewish community – our people, traditions, and prayers. That’s why I give to the Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s Campaign for Jewish Needs. Our strength – who we are as Jews – is about passing kindness and compassion onto others and to our next generation. This is our obligation: to take care of each other as family who live around the corner and across the globe, as we aspire to leave no community member behind.
Our Community, Our Campaign
The Campaign for Jewish Needs is the annual fundraising Campaign that ensures our community’s vitality and vibrancy in the year ahead. Whether we are feeding the hungry, comforting the sick, caring for the elderly, educating our youth, ensuring a Jewish future, or supporting Israel, our Jewish community stands together. And, together, we can make the world a better place.
“Taking responsibility as a young leader to help ensure a strong Jewish future…I want to make sure I’m doing what I can to help others that are less fortunate.” – David
We aspire to leave no one behind
36% of our Jewish Cleveland households say they are just managing financially
We are a strong community yet there are people who live next door to us who are suffering. We provide a safety net for Jews in need, no matter who they are or where they live. Around the corner, and across the globe, we are feeding the hungry, comforting the sick, and caring for the elderly. At every stage of life, we are here to help. Together, we change lives.
We safeguard our community
2/3 of religious-based hate crimes target Jews, acroding to the FBI
Anti-Semitism is on the rise. That’s why we work with our national and international partners to ensure the safety and security of Jews living around the world. Right here at home, we are safeguarding our local facilities and the people who use them so that we can all feel comfortable living our Jewish lives. We cannot take our comfort for granted. Together, we are prepared.
We support Israel
Anti-Israel movements on college campuses have increased by 31 percent, according to on campus coalition, a pro-israel non-profit.
Right now, the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions Movement (BDS) threatens to delegitimize the State of Israel, with growing support on our college campuses. We are helping young adults build strong Jewish identities by deepening their connection to Israel through personal experiences and providing the tools needed to stand up and speak out for what they believe in. We are proud to be Jewish Cleveland and support Israel.Together, we stand united.
We ensure a Jewish future
For over 110 years our Federation has been a community cornerstone, strengthening our local and global Jewish world
We believe every voice matters. That’s why we work to build a unified Jewish community. We support education, advocacy and community building activities to unite community members to care for each other and secure our Jewish life, today, and for generations to follow. We are stronger together.
Every dollar makes a difference. 91 cents of every dollar goes directly to the community for priority programs and services. Working together, we can make the world a better place.
Every new gift or increase of $1,000 or more will be matched dollar for dollar up to $10,000 during this year's campaign. Learn more
