Join Jewish Clevelanders, ages 21 – 45, and their families for a morning of volunteering across Greater Cleveland at our next YLDay of Caring!

Enjoy a day of hands-on volunteering where you'll meet new people and make a difference in our community! From feeding the hungry, to caring for the elderly, to helping children with disabilities, and more – whatever your passion, there’s a volunteer opportunity for you!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

JCC Triathlon

• The Indoor Triathlon, Biathlon and Kids Tri is a spectacular community event that will take place Sunday, February 10! Approximately 150 individuals that make up relay teams and individual athletes will challenge themselves in an exciting competitive Triathlon & Biathlon atmosphere
• Volunteers will help manage the day's logistics.
• Non-JCC members must bring form of identification when entering the JCC; please provide t-shirt size.


Kosher Food Pantry

• The Kosher Food Pantry serves needy Jewish families in Cleveland’s eastern suburbs, as well as those referred by Cleveland’s social service agencies without discrimination.
• Volunteers will be delivering food to the private homes of Kosher Food Pantry clients.
• All volunteers will drive together and follow the Kosher Food Pantry truck to deliver food.


Montefiore

• Guided by Jewish values, Montefiore provides a continuum of quality compassionate healthcare services to adults and support to families through individualized care.
• Volunteers with mingle and play games with the residents.
• Family-friendly


Friendship Circle & RePlay For Kids

• RePlay for Kids is a non-profit organization of volunteers who repair and adapt toys and assistive devices for children with disabilities in Northeast Ohio.
• Volunteers will be making adjustments for toys so that they're accessible for all kids.
• Volunteers are asked to bring their own toy to modify - we will share a list of options via email.


MedWish

• MedWish International is a local non-profit that saves lives and the environment by repurposing discarded medical supplies and equipment to provide humanitarian aid in developing countries.
• Volunteers will be unpacking boxes of donations and separating items into general categories, checking expiration dates of items, categorizing like items by size, style, type, etc., and preparing/packing boxes for inventory (counting, weighing, and labeling box contents)
• Volunteers will sign a waiver upon arrival.
• Family-friendly

Meet for a brief orientation at the Federation, then head over to your volunteer activity!

Bagel breakfast will be served
(kosher dietary laws observed)

YLD will notify volunteers in advance with confirmed volunteer location information.
