Winter Break Lunch Program Registration

Mon. Dec. 21 – Wed. Dec. 23; Mon. Dec. 28 – Wed. Dec. 30

All volunteer shifts are from 11:15 a.m. – 1:45 p.m. Volunteers are needed for the Winter Break Lunch Program to serve hot, nutritious lunches, play games, create crafts and distribute holiday gifts to K-12th graders at-risk for hunger at five locations in Cleveland.

Required Volunteer Orientation

Understanding the background of children attending the Winter Break Lunch Program and feeling comfortable interacting with them is key to a positive experience. This orientation will provide tools to assist our volunteers engage in conversation with program participants.

Our guest speaker, Jessica Cohen, Managing Director of the Federation’s Community Relations Committee, previously worked for Friends of Breakthrough Schools as the Senior Director of Government and Foundation Relations. Jessica, will lead a Diversity Training exercise to prepare volunteers to interact with children living in Cleveland's neediest areas. Volunteers will also hear more about program, daily schedule, and wrap holiday gifts.
