Opening Gay Games

The Cleveland Gay Games is here! This international sporting and cultural event promotes tolerance and celebrates diversity and is being hosted right here in Cleveland. Last night, we welcomed the Israeli delegates with a meaningful program at the David Berger National Memorial at the Mandel JCC of Cleveland – a site that honors the memory of David Berger, a Cleveland native, who was one of 11 Israeli athletes murdered at the 1972 Munich Olympic Games. We marched with our flags waving proudly in the air, from the Memorial to the Maltz Museum, for a screening of the film, Inferno. It was a great kickoff to an exciting week at the Gay Games! Thank you to the athletes and guests, including Deputy Consul General Elad Strohmayer and @האגודה למען הלהטב בישראל (The Israeli National LGBT Task Force). We wish all the athletes good luck!
