October: Collection for Afghan Refugees Settling in Cleveland

As part of Super Sunday, the Jewish Federation of Cleveland is collecting essential and necessary items to be distributed for the Afghan community who have recently relocated to Cleveland.

Items collected will be distributed by US Together, a local refugee resettlement agency and an affiliate of HIAS (Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society).

The items most in need include:

  • School supplies
  • Cleaning supplies (dish soap, sponges and cloths, paper towels, kitchen cleanser, laundry detergent, trash bags)
  • Toiletries (toilet paper, shampoo, body wash, bar soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss)
*Donations should be new and in sealed boxes or containers
