We appreciate the statements of support from Senator Sherrod Brown and Senator Rob Portman condemning anti-Semitic threats against Jewish community centers.

Senator Sherrod Brown

U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) issued the following statement after bomb threats were reported at more than 20 other Jewish community centers throughout the United States, including Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio:

“Connie and I stand in solidarity with Jewish communities across the country against these hateful threats of violence toward our friends and neighbors. Every American has the right to feel safe and welcome in our communities, and each of us has a responsibility to stand against efforts to intimidate or endanger our fellow Ohioans. I am grateful to local law enforcement for their efforts to investigate these threats and keep the centers safe.”

Senator Rob Portman

U.S. Senator Rob Portman (R-OH) issued the following statement following the anti-Semitic bomb threats against Jewish community centers in Ohio and across the country:

“I strongly condemn the bomb threats that are being made against Jewish Community Centers in Ohio and across the country. We must stand in solidarity with our friends in the Jewish community and make clear there is no place for this in our society.”
