We hope to see you at our June events! This month, our young adults are volunteering to clean up a local beach and getting together to celebrate summer, we are honoring Jewish and African-American activism, celebrating our Women IN Philanthropy donors, and more.


June 11
YLDay of Caring Beach Cleanup

The Young Leadership Division (YLD) and the Jewish Volunteer Network (JVN) are teaming up for a morning of service in partnership with Drink Local Drink Tap. Join other young adults in Jewish Cleveland for a beach cleanup and help keep trash out of Lake Erie.

June 15
New-ish and Jew-ish pre-Soirée ice cream social and Summer Soirée.

New-ish and Jew-ish connects young Jewish adults (and their partners), ages 22-45, that are new to Cleveland, have recently moved back, or are still looking for their place in our community. Join us as we schmooze over ice cream and celebrate all that is happening in the city we call home!

The Summer Soirée is our annual summer kick-off celebration! Reunite with old friends, make new ones, and enjoy an awesome night out with snacks, music and games. Drink tickets will be provided.

Stronger Together Event with Cleveland Public Library and Western Reserve Historical Society

"Stronger Together: Exploring Jewish-African American Activism Relations, Past and Present" will feature dinner and a discussion with New York Times best-selling co-authors of the young adult novels I'm Not Dying With You Tonight and Why We Fly, Gilly Segal and Kimberly L. Jones. The Western Reserve Historical Society's Distinguished Scholar of African American History and Culture, Dr. Regennia N. Williams will moderate the conversation.

Women IN Philanthropy Signature Event

Hear from Sigal Kanotopsky, northeast regional director for the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI). Sigal will speak about her personal and professional journey, as well as her current role with the Jewish Agency. Honor Bonnie Marks, recipient of the 2023 Ruby Bass Challenge Award, for her exemplary dedication and leadership to the Jewish Federation of Cleveland and the Women IN Philanthropy Campaign.

Lion of Judah Society donors are women who make individual gifts of $5,000 or more to the annual Campaign for Jewish Needs.
