Presenting Israel: Challenges Faced by Artists and Presenters
Together with the Federation’s External Affairs Department, Cleveland Israel Arts Connection presents a panel discussion about the challenges facing Israeli artists and fine arts presenters.
Panelists include:
- Raymond Bobgan, executive artistic director, Cleveland Public Theatre
- Yaron Kohlberg, artistic director, PianoCleveland
- Dale Heinen, executive and artistic director, BorderLight Theater Festival

Together, we’ll help ensure that every person is counted and that our community continues to thrive—with enhanced security, support for student mental health, care for older adults, and so much more.

reakfast with STEM Educational Leaders from Beit Shean & Valley of Springs
Hear directly from members of the STEM educational leaders’ delegation. Learn about the vision and impact of our STEM Israel initiative and how this work is helping children who have often been “left behind” develop the skills and opportunities they need to thrive in a competitive marketplace.
This is a unique opportunity to meet Israeli education leaders, gain insight into Cleveland’s pioneering approach to STEM education in our partnership region, and learn how this work is creating new pathways for children to succeed.

October is “Tackling Hunger Month”
Join Federation’s Jewish Volunteer Network (JVN) to help combat food insecurity in Cleveland:
October 12 from 9:30 am - 1 pm at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank
Assist neighbors as they shop at the Healthy Choice Food Market at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.

October 20 from 1 - 3 pm at the Cleveland Chesed Center
The Cleveland Chesed Center is committed to ensuring that individuals and families in the Jewish community are provided with basic necessities including food, household supplies, and clothing, all while respecting their dignity and privacy. Join JVN to stock shelves, pack food packages, and sort clothing.

October 22 from 9:30 - 11:30 am at East Mt. Zion Baptist Church
JVN is pleased to partner with East Mt. Zion Baptist Church and Lifeline Ministries to pack food parcels at the end of each month as SNAP benefits begin to dwindle for many people. The packages are delivered to those in need who live in the neighborhood of the church.

October 23 from 9 am - 12 pm at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank
Join Women IN Philanthropy's Pomegranate Society* at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. Volunteers may assist with preparation and packing of hot meals, Kids' Cafe lunch packing, and daily cleaning. Space is limited to 10 volunteers. Ages 14+. Please contact Jessie Bruder for more information or complete the interest form.
*Pomegranate Society celebrates women who make individual gifts of $1,800 or more to the annual Campaign for Jewish Needs.
