We hope to see you at our September events! This month, community members can help clean up a local Jewish cemetery prior to the High Holidays, celebrate Rosh Hashanah with various events, volunteer for the 2026 Campaign for Jewish Needs, and more.

September 14
Fall Cemetery Cleanup
There's here’s no greater mitzvah than caring for those who came before us. Join volunteers of all ages and honor our ancestors by raking, pruning, and beautifying a local Jewish cemetery in advance of the High Holiday season.

PJ Library® Meetup at the Apple Farm
Join PJ Library and B’nai Jeshurun Congregation at the apple orchard to pick fresh, delicious apples for Rosh Hashanah. Enjoy outdoor celebrations with apple picking, professional family photos, and all the fun activities at the Family Fun Fest.

Celebrate Rosh Hashanah with your family and PJ Library at the Mandel JCC. This program is appropriate for children aged 0-8 and their caregivers.

Reverse Tashlich with PJ Library, jHUB and Jewish Volunteer Network
Taking care of our waterways is not just an environmental duty, but a spiritual responsibility and a mitzvah. Join PJ Library, JVN, jHUB and Repair The Sea at Reverse Tashlich 2025.
In this young family event, we will work with a natural resources manager at the Metroparks to clean up a local waterway, learn about invasive species and caring for our environment, read a story together about the High Holiday season and enjoy a bring-your-own picnic dinner.

Outreach Hours
Join us as we make phone calls, send texts and emails, and connect via social media to encourage everyone in Jewish Cleveland to make a gift to the 2026 Campaign for Jewish Needs. The money you raise will help fight antisemitism, enhance security, care for the vulnerable, support Israel, and so much more.
