Dr. Deborah E. Lipstadt is Dorot Professor of Modern Jewish and Holocaust Studies at Emory University in Atlanta. Lipstadt was an historical consultant to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. She was appointed by President Bill Clinton to the United States Holocaust Memorial Council on which she served two terms.

Lipstadt’s 2005 book, History on Trial: My Day in Court with a Holocaust Denier, tells the true story of how she was sued by Holocaust denier and right wing extremist, David Irving for libel. The trial changed the course of history in future court cases dealing with the Holocaust.

Lipstadt joins us in Cleveland, following the worldwide release of the feature film, Denial, which is based on this autobiography.
