Winter Break Lunch Program

Description

Be a volunteer at the Jewish Volunteer Network's (JVN) Winter Break Lunch Program and help children in need during their winter break.

All volunteer shifts are from 11:15 am – 2:00 pm. Volunteers are needed to serve hot, nutritious lunches, play games, create crafts and distribute holiday gifts to children in Cleveland’s most vulnerable areas.

NOTE: Children ages 8 and over are welcome to attend with their parents. Their role will be to play games and interact with the program participants.

VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION – Thursday, Dec. 14, 7:15 pm
Understanding the background of children attending the Winter Break Lunch Program and feeling comfortable interacting with them is a key to a positive experience. This orientation will provide tools to assist our volunteers to engage in conversation with program participants. Volunteers under 16 yrs. of age are not required to attend.
