HaYom Harat Olam – today the world is born. Each year on Rosh Hashanah, we celebrate the birthday of the world and renew creation in its entirety. To celebrate a birthday and begin anew is an incredible dichotomy. We retain the wisdom of all that has come before while getting to start over. This is a unique opportunity to bring forward as individuals and as a community only the best of our past to enrich our future.

The 2024 Campaign for Jewish Needs has launched! Thank you to the 1,000+ community members who braved the rain to join us at Super Sunday Kickoff. The annual Campaign is the Cleveland Jewish community's annual fundraising campaign that provides critical dollars necessary to help keep our diverse, local community safe, strong, and welcoming, as well as serve the needs of the global Jewish community.

KNOW ABUSETM was established in 2001, when employees at Federation beneficiary agency Jewish Family Service Association (JFSA) were approached by adult domestic violence survivors. They told their JFSA social workers if they had learned about signs to look out for as teens, they may not have stayed in - or even gotten into these abusive relationships.

The world is the street artist’s canvas and often unsuspecting passersby are their audience. Many are also studio artists who work in similar styles to their public work and experiment with new media.

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland will once again kickoff its annual Campaign for Jewish Needs with a Super Sunday Kickoff event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 10.

The Cleveland and Israeli Jewish communities were well-represented at the 77th annual One World Day Aug. 27 in the Cleveland Cultural Gardens as the Greater Cleveland community came together in a showcase of its diversity.
