A magnificent evening! Thank you to all of our Lions of Judah who joined us last night at our Summer Social. Together, we are part of a sisterhood of 18,000 women around the world who choose to make a difference as a Lion of Judah, and we thank you for your generosity.

Family, ruach (spirit), and fun in the sun! Over 600 parents, kids, and grandparents joined us to celebrate summer at PJ Library Goes to Camp for Family Fun Day.

Meet Cathy. A business-owner, dedicated volunteer, and proud Jewish Clevelander. She is a busy person, who always finds time to help others. When she started working as a literacy tutor when her own children were learning to read, she found a passion. And now, Cathy volunteers with the Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s Public Education Initiative (PEI).

For more than 35 years, the Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s Irene Zehman Award has recognized women who demonstrate the highest ideals and practices of volunteer service. This year, the award goes to Mary Ellen Saltzman of Beachwood, founder of Treasures Gift Shop at the Mandel Jewish Community Center (JCC) and Siegal College. Mary Ellen will be honored at the Federation Women’s Spring Luncheon on May 18 at Landerhaven (6111 Landerhaven Drive, Mayfield Heights).
