The Inclusion Program at J-Day Camps: Where Every Child Belongs
At the Mandel JCC, a beneficiary agency of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, J-Day Camps' Inclusion Program pairs campers who have individualized needs with a one-on-one inclusion facilitator, so they can be fully included in camp life alongside their peers: swimming, performing on stage, making friends, and growing in confidence.
The program changes not only the campers it supports, but everyone – from the other campers, the counselors, and the families at J-Day Camps.
"J-Day Camps feels like family because there is understanding, there is support, and there is love. It really just feels like a place where our family belongs," said one parent of a child in the Inclusion Program.
The Federation is proud to help make this program possible through support to the Campaign for Jewish Needs. Thanks to the generosity of our community, more children can experience everything camp has to offer.
