Jewish Cleveland Hosts Young Leadership Division Big Event

Fundraising Gala Celebrates Jewish Cleveland's Young Leaders

CLEVELAND – Something BIG is happening on Saturday, November 14! The Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s Young Leadership Division (YLD) will host its third annual YLD Big Event, the signature fundraiser for young adults in their 20s, 30s, and 40s in support of the 2016 Campaign for Jewish Needs. The event begins at 8:30 p.m. on November 14 at the Cleveland Convention Center (300 Lakeside Ave. E., Cleveland).

“The YLD Big Event is an opportunity for young professionals from all over Cleveland to connect to Jewish life and each other,” said Event Co-Chair Sam Krichevsky. “Join more than 350 Jewish Clevelanders and celebrate for a good cause. It’s going to be a great night!” Krichevsky Co-Chairs the event with his wife, Shayne of Beachwood, and David and Lindsay Toth of Solon.

Hundreds of young leaders are expected at the YLD Big Event to celebrate for a cause and show their community pride in the heart of downtown Cleveland. Guests will network during a cocktail hour and attend a featured presentation by music industry executive and Cleveland native Ted Cohen about the value of giving back to our local and global community. Then, attendees will dance the night away with live music by Rock the House’s Live Party Band, voted the Best Party Band by Cleveland Magazine’s “Best of Cleveland.” A private cocktail reception for Ben-Gurion Society donors who commit a minimum gift of $1,000 to the Campaign for Jewish Needs will precede the event.

The Federation’s Campaign for Jewish Needs is the annual fundraising campaign that ensures our community’s vitality and vibrancy in the year ahead. The Cleveland Jewish community is comprised of 80,000 people, and the national and international reach of the Federation encompasses tens of thousands more. Through the Campaign for Jewish Needs, people’s lives are changed for the better in Cleveland, Israel, and 70 countries around the globe. 91 cents of each dollar donated goes directly to the community for programs and services.

The Federation’s YLD connects young Jewish adults to each other and the community through social, volunteer, leadership, and philanthropic activities.

Sponsors of the YLD Big Event are Leikin Motor Companies and Rock the House. Registration cost is $55/person pre-registered and $70/person at the door.
