After her community of Kfar Aza kibbutz in Israel was attacked on Oct. 7, survivor Keren Flash has been sharing her story to shed light on the murdered, kidnapped and displaced.

As the Jewish Federation of Cleveland continues with its annual campaign events, like the Women IN Philanthropy MaIN Event on Nov. 29, it takes a new focus of bringing the community together in support of Israel.

WASHINGTON – More than 1,800 Clevelanders took part in a historic pro-Israel rally that drew an estimated 290,000 people from across North America to the National Mall Nov. 14. Twenty-five charter buses left early in the morning from the Cleveland area to bring supporters to the rally.

Over a month after the Oct. 7 attack by Hamas on Israel, former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett visited Cleveland to share a message of strength and unity.

As Erika Rudin-Luria and Beth Wain Brandon returned from a two-day solidarity mission to Israel on Nov. 1 and Nov. 2, they brought back the stories of Israelis impacted by the Oct. 7 attack on Israelis by Hamas.

Our community came together for a vigil for the over 200 innocent civilians who were taken hostage during the terrorist attack Hamas waged on Israel on October 7, 2023.

As more than 200 young Jewish Clevelanders gathered together in the wake of the Oct. 7 Hamas attacks on Israel, Adam Teitelbaum of the Israel Action Network and the Jewish Federations of North America, shared hope that out of this crisis will be a new awakening.

Twenty-three days after the Oct. 7 Hamas attacks on Israel, the Cleveland Jewish community came together for a vigil for the over 230 hostages taken during the attacks.

There are times when everything changes.

We condemn the brutality of Hamas or any other terrorist group, and stand with Israel and the Jewish people.
