The Jewish Federation of Cleveland will host author Sarah Hurwitz at its annual Women IN Philanthropy MaIN Event at 7 p.m. Oct. 22 at Green Road Synagogue at 2437 S. Green Road in Beachwood in support of the 2026 Campaign for Jewish Needs.

Ten years ago, Women IN Philanthropy created the mentoring program Coaching Circles. It's an opportunity for women of all ages and places in their lives to grow alongside each other in a meaningful and personal way.

The sixth annual local Good Deeds Day grew exponentially in 2025 with 275 volunteers at 15 locations with 14 partner agencies across Greater Cleveland.

Last month, more than 1,700 philanthropic Jewish women rallied around their collective pride to inspire one another and hear from world leaders at the 2025 Lion of Judah Conference in Atlanta.

With news of an impending hostage deal looming overhead, Aviva Siegel, a released hostage and wife of then-hostage Keith Siegel, and Yarden Gonen, sister of then-hostage Romi Gonen, spoke at the 2025 Lion of Judah Conference from Jan. 12 through Jan. 14 in Atlanta to advocate for their loved ones.
