Sirens, uncertainty, and constant updates became the backdrop of what was supposed to be a 10-day educational journey across Israel. Last June, 26 Cleveland Jewish teens traveled to Israel with israel.cleveland.next (icnext), but on June 13, as fighting escalated across multiple fronts, their experience shifted dramatically. Bringing them home immediately became the top priority. While awaiting evacuation, icnext staff and chaperones created engaging programming and provided support to keep teens calm amid the backdrop of war.

43 Jewish high school juniors and seniors from public and private high schools across Cleveland have come together to recommend grants totaling $45,000 to 15 organizations for crucial programs in the Jewish and general community through the Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s 2025-2026 Maurice Saltzman Youth Panel.

In the summer of 2024, teens from Kibbutz Kissufim, Federation's partner community in the Gaza Envelope, traveled to Cleveland and spent four weeks at Camp Wise.

Over 1,500 people of all ages joined the Jewish community in celebrating Israel’s 77th Independence Day on May 1 at Congregation Mishkan Or in Beachwood.

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland has invited the community to celebrate Yom Ha’atzmaut, Israel’s 77th Independence Day, on the evening of May 1 with music, dancing, food and more.

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland will host its annual Yom Ha’atzmaut event – a free community celebration of Israel’s Independence Day – on Thursday, May 1 from 5:30 - 8:30 pm at Congregation Mishkan Or (26000 Shaker Blvd in Beachwood).

In spring 2022, Bellefaire JCB, a beneficiary agency of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, was selected by the Board of Cuyahoga County Alcohol, Drug Addiction & Mental Health Services to help launch the state of Ohio’s Mobile Response and Stabilization Services (MRSS). This new county service was created to address the alarming rise in mental health challenges among youth. Its core mission is to keep children safe and supported within their homes by offering comprehensive resources tailored to meet the needs of both the child and their family. Through rapid crisis intervention, MRSS supports children and young adults up to age 21, providing assistance in schools and at home to address mental health challenges before they escalate.
