The Jewish Federation of Cleveland is launching the 2026 Campaign for Jewish Needs on Sunday, September 7 with a Super Sunday Kickoff event for the entire community! The Campaign for Jewish Needs is the Cleveland Jewish community’s annual fundraising campaign that provides the critical dollars necessary to help keep our diverse, local community safe, strong, and welcoming, as well as serve the needs of the global Jewish community.

This summer, JFC Security, LLC – Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s security provider – introduced a new layer of protection at Mandel JCC’s Camp Wise through a cutting-edge drone security pilot program. Operated by JFC Security personnel, the tethered drone system is part of JFC Security’s ongoing effort to incorporate emerging technologies that can further enhance safety across community spaces.

This weekend we commemorate Tisha B’Av (the 9th day of the month of Av). This day is when many of the very worst things happened to the Jewish people, including the fall of the Second Temple. We are reminded each year of the danger of hatred – and that our world (the Temple) was destroyed because of baseless hatred (sinat chinam).
