As we enter week two of Israel’s war with Iran, we wanted to give you an update on the various ways our community is helping the people of Israel in this time of dire need.

We want to provide you with regular updates on what is happening on the ground in Israel.

As Shabbat ends and the new week begins, we find our world has changed dramatically again as Israel is now directly confronting the mounting military threat from Iran.

The Hebrew Academy of Cleveland is preserving Holocaust memory through a powerful new educational initiative. As part of the nationwide “Names, Not Numbers” program, eighth-grade boys at the academy spent a semester learning about the Holocaust and interviewing second-generation survivors to produce a documentary that will debut for the community June 16 at the academy.

26 Jewish high school juniors and seniors from public and private high schools across Cleveland have come together to recommend grants totaling $45,000 to 17 organizations for crucial programs in the Jewish and general community through the Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s 2024-2025 Maurice Saltzman Youth Panel.

Morgan Jacobs watched proudly as her youngest son tore apart his closet, tossing his clothes into a big pile. She didn’t mind the mess, as her son was simply doing his homework – choosing unwanted clothing items from his closet to be donated to children in need.
