About the Salesforce Specialist position:

The Salesforce Specialist supports the effective use, administration, and continuous improvement of Salesforce across the Jewish Federation of Cleveland. This role helps maintain data quality, reports and dashboards, support for end users, document processes, and reinforce consistent Salesforce practices across the organization.

Reporting to the Senior Director of CRM Systems & Strategy, the Salesforce Specialist partners with the Salesforce Administrator to translate staff needs and business processes into practical, well-documented Salesforce solutions. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, service-minded, and eager to grow their Salesforce administration skills in a mission-driven environment.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Provide day-to-day administration and support of the Salesforce platform.
  • Create, maintain, and optimize Salesforce reports, dashboards, and analytics to support operational decision-making, fundraising, and leadership reporting.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for CRM support and end-user assistance, managing and triaging requests through the organization's ticketing system.
  • Execute recurring Salesforce administration processes, ensuring data accuracy, system reliability, and timely completion of business-critical tasks.
  • Deliver Salesforce onboarding, user training, and adoption support for new and existing staff members.
  • Monitor and improve data quality through the development and processing of regular audits, deduplication, and validation processes.
  • Analyze user support requests, audit findings, and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement of business processes, user adoption, and reporting.
  • Document processes, procedures, and user guides to improve knowledge sharing and operational consistency.
  • Assist with user setup, access requests, roles, profiles, permission sets, and basic Salesforce security administration.
  • Stay current with Salesforce releases, platform updates, and emerging features relevant to nonprofit CRM operations.

Qualifications:

Education, Training, and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems or relevant work experience.
  • Familiarity with the Salesforce platform and Salesforce administration concepts. Experience with Non-Profit Cloud, a plus.
  • Experience supporting end users, business processes, reporting, or CRM administration. Experience in nonprofit CRM management, a plus.
  • Understanding of fundamental Salesforce concepts including objects, records, fields, relationships, users, profiles, permission sets, reports, and dashboards. Salesforce certifications, a plus.

Candidates are not expected to have mastered every area of Salesforce. We value candidates who have built a strong foundation through Trailhead, Salesforce certifications, or hands-on work.
