At age 13, Madelyn Woda is a hunger hero! Madelyn made a casserole for good deeds day for her Bat Mitzvah service project. This act of kindness is what Good Deeds Day is all about.

More than 70 community members joined Madelyn to bake more than 100 delicious casseroles to give to those at-risk for hunger at yesterday's Good Deeds Day. The casseroles were then delivered to five local social service agencies to distribute to those in need: Thea Bowman Center, Salvation Army, Haven Home, Greater CLE Neighborhood Association, and West Side Catholic Center - Moriah House.

Additionally, 160+ pounds of non-perishable food items were donated to Harvest for Hunger and 110 pounds of food items went to the Cleveland Chesed Center.

Thank you to everyone who participate in helping others and making Good Deeds Day a success!
