Solon woman finds grandfather in Jewish Federation's gallery exhibit

BEACHWOOD, Ohio -- Russian Jewish immigrant Vera Yudovina, of Solon, is at the center of a remarkable number of events that eventually connected her to her ancestry - specifically her grandfather, who died five years before she was born.

For Yudovina, the chain of events began when she opened her email one day and found an invitation from the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, inviting its members to attend the Jan. 25 opening exhibit of photographs by Solomon Iudovin called "The Way We Looked: Photographs of Shtetl Life."
