What is Birthright? It’s a free 10-day trip to explore Israel’s most remarkable tourist destinations and beyond with fellow 22-26 year olds. Cleveland even has our very own trip!

Now is the time (and it’s your birthright) to connect to your Jewish roots. And if you needed a little more convincing, here are just a few reasons why we love Birthright – and you should, too!

1. It’s FREE!

There’s no catch here: This is a free, 10-day trip to Israel. The trip is a gift from Birthright Israel with additional support from the Jewish Federation of Cleveland. The Federation partners with Israel Outdoors, the largest provider of Birthright Israel trips, to offer a trip exclusively for residents of the greater Cleveland area. Need we say more?

2. You’ll be treated like a VIP.

Most Birthright trips visit Israel’s hottest tourist destinations like Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Masada. But what’s unique about the Cleveland Community Birthright Trip is a VIP visit to Beit Shean, Cleveland’s sister city in Israel. While in Beit Shean, participants will experience the strong partnership and unwavering support between Cleveland and its sister city. They will also receive a special taste of home hospitality and feast on ethnic foods with “Cooks of the Region.” Yum!

3. The trip is life changing.

Just ask Amanda Kravitz, a former Cleveland Birthright Israel participant. "Birthright has been an absolutely amazing eye-opening experience. From riding camels in the Negev desert, to hearing personal experiences from our new Israeli friends, to being challenged in a variety of workshops about Judaism, I could not imagine a more fulfilling trip.”

Don’t forget to tell fellow Clevelanders, kids, and grandkids about this amazing adventure. Trips are departing every summer! For more information, contact Matt Newman at mnewman@jcfcleve.org or 216-593-2880.
