It will be a memorable day for Sarah and Scott Zimmerman, co-chairs of this year’s Super Sunday. They will be able to spend the event with their son, Marc, who will be making his debut at the Campaign for Jewish Needs event on September 25.

We spoke with Sarah and Scott about what makes this year stand out to them and why it’s so important to give back. Here’s what they had to say.

Q – How would you describe Super Sunday?

A: Super Sunday is a wonderful event where the whole Jewish community of Cleveland comes together to raise funds that touch people’s lives help local and global organizations.

Q – What is the opportunity for the community to get involved?

A: Super Sunday is a great opportunity to get the community involved from generation to generation - l'dor v'dor. People of all ages can participate making phone calls, writing Thank You cards, exploring volunteer and community service projects including making a blanket for a local Jewish nursing home, among others. Plus, there are babysitting and other activities for children.

Q – What is it like to be a co-chair of Super Sunday?

A: It’s an honor to be asked to be part of Super Sunday in a leadership role and stand up for a cause we feel is so important. We’re bringing our friends and family out, inspiring them to bring their friends and families out to get involved. To see how much money we can raise when we work together as a team on that one day – that is special to us.

The Zimmermans are just one of the families you can work together with at Super Sunday – September 25 at the Jewish Federation of Cleveland. Register Now!
