The Jewish Federation of Cleveland saw an almost exact replica of last year’s recommended allocations of its campaign funds raised this year as the allocations committee sought to continue its support to agencies ravaged by COVID-19.

The Cleveland Israel Arts Connection was joined by Yaron Kohlberg, president of Piano Cleveland, and Nimrod David Pfeffer, conductor and pianist, to discuss this year’s competition and the chances for another Israeli medalist.

Congregations across Cleveland joined in on an effort ignited by the Jewish Federation of Cleveland to create solidarity-based Shabbat services June 25 to June 27 where the Jewish community took a stand against rising trends of antisemitism.

Deborah E. Lipstadt, the Dorot Professor of Modern Jewish History and Holocaust Studies at Emory University in Atlanta, spoke about the rising trend in antisemitism, unpacked different forms of prejudice and ways the world can come together to overcome Jew hatred in a webinar hosted by the Jewish Federation of Cleveland with the Anti-Defamation League and AJC Cleveland June 24.
